Hello, Becker Families:

One of the Girl Scout troops at Becker is working with Ms. Anderson to construct a Little Free Library to promote reading amongst Becker and its community! If you are not familiar with the Little Free Library movement, check it out: http://www.littlefreelibrary.org/.

The basic concept is “take a book, return a book.” What a great way to help get Becker students excited about reading, right?

So, to be able to accomplish this, the scouts need to gather supplies and donations. We’ve compiled a detailed list as an online signup. Check it out and sign up to donate! Or, you can contact me about supplies you might have and I’ll let you know if we can use them.

Another option is to make a monetary donation. One thing we do want to do, which will require funds, is to register the Becker Little Free Library, so that it can get an official charter sign and number!  Nifty!  Let me know if you are interested in doing this. Every little bit helps!

So, we do hope you’ll help us out in our efforts to build a strong, waterproof and long-lasting little free library.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thank you,

Jennifer Thomas, Becker mom to 4th/1st graders, and troop leader to this troop
